Daron Hagen's new Shining Brow (Fallinwater Version) was performed in Greater Pittsburgh area high schools before its historic staged premiere at Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater by Opera Theater of Pittsburgh and mainstage performances at the Twentieth Century Club in a seven-character production directed by Jonathan Eaton, with Robert Frankenberry conducting a new seven piece orchestration. The Naxos complete cast recording has been released. JoAnn Falletta conducts the Buffallo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus. Robert Orth is Wright; Brenda Harris is Mamah; Robert Frankenberry is Sullivan; Matthew Curran is Cheney; Elaine Valby is Catherine; Gilda Lyons is the Maid.
